Do you give me something for pain?
Yes. Our packages include pain medication, antibiotics and local anesthesia, so you do not need to arrange prescriptions.
Can I be sedated (IV sedation) during the procedure?
Yes. We offer full IV sedation with an anesthesiologist. Let your advisor know during your initial consultation, since the anesthesiologist is scheduled on demand.
What type of anesthesia do you use?
Local anesthetics such as Novocaine for most procedures.
Why do I have to wait several months to restore my implants?
The implants need time to integrate into your jawbone (osseointegration). Restoring them too early puts the whole investment at risk, so we schedule the final teeth once your bone has properly locked the implant in place.
What is a build up?
When a tooth is badly broken or has lost much of its volume, it needs to be rebuilt with a new filling before a crown can restore its function and appearance. That reconstruction is the build up.
What is a connection surgery?
After implants are placed, gum tissue normally covers them while they heal. If the gum still covers the implant when you return for your restorative work, a small incision is made to expose it. That minor step is the connection surgery.
What type of bone grafts do you use?
We use bovine bone graft material, also called xenographic material. It creates a scaffold for your own new bone tissue to grow.
What is a sinus lift?
A sinus lift is a surgery that adds bone to your upper jaw in the area of your molars and premolars, between the jaw and the maxillary sinuses. It is done when there is not enough bone height in the upper jaw for implants to be placed.
What if I don’t have enough bone for implants?
You still have options. Depending on your case: bone grafting, a sinus lift, or our custom subperiosteal implants, 3D-printed in titanium in our own lab for patients with severe bone loss.
